Joshua started playing the piano at the age of 4. We decided to enroll him at CREATIVE MUSIC STUDIO under the tutelage of Teacher Cherry. He started performing at school events a few months after, and then joined the yearly recital until he was 9 years old. He developed great confidence and discipline when performing on stage, and at the same time, these qualities helped him excel in his academics. Indeed, it was a great foundation for Joshua’s musical endeavors especially when we immigrated to the US in 2005. He joined the band while he was in grade school. He’s now 12 and is in middle school, and had performed for their yearly winter & spring concerts. Aside from playing the piano, he can also play the recorder, bells, percussions, and drums. We’re very thankful for Teacher Cherry’s perseverance & guidance in developing our son’s musical talent. She has played a very important role in Joshua’s musical growth.
